This is a pipeline for sign language data for different sign languages to be compounded into single files. This makes it possible then to localise sign language animation for different territories cost effectively.

Much development activity supported by UKRI and BFI YACF has gone inti this production pipeline.

Three Language Test Piece

We have run tests over seven sign languages. Here’s a test piece with three languages with the data in the same file.

These signing elements are all contained in a single Signimation® file to which more language layers can be added.

Comprehensibility of sign animation

We have also been assessing comprehensibility of sign animation. This dialogue was developed for BSL comprehensibility.
